Yiwu’s Export to Turkey Welcomes Its Peak Season
Turkish President Erdogan paid a two-day state visit to China at the end of July. It was the first time for Erdogan to visit China since he assumed the office of the President last August. It’s noteworthy that he visited China with a delegation of about 100 Turkish entrepreneurs this time. During his visit, heads of two countries both attended Turkey-China Business Forum held in Beijing, from which we can see that the healthy development of bilateral economic and trade relations is an important issue which governments and peoples of two sides pay much attention to. For businessmen who engage in China-Turkey trade, this communication between top leaders of two sides will bring more cooperative opportunities to the trade markets of both Yiwu and Turkey.
According to statistics of Yiwu Customs, Yiwu’s exports to Turkey in the first half of this year reached RMB 1.11 billion, increasing by 31.3% year on year. It is no doubt that Turkish President’s successful visit to China gives a fillip to the development of China-Turkey trade and Turkish businessmen’s uncertainties of international trade will be eradicated gradually. Insiders believe that Yiwu’s export to Turkey will soar up in the next half year.
