In the spring of 2025, the outdoor economy continues to heat up, and outdoor products enterprises in Zhejiang are actively exploring the market through "micro-innovation". Data shows that there are over 327,000 outdoor-related enterprises nationwide in China, with Zhejiang ranking second in the country with 39,000 enterprises. During the "March 8th Shopping Festival", the transaction volume of products such as tents and awnings saw a significant year-on-year increase.
Zhejiang's outdoor enterprises have enhanced their competitiveness through the application of new materials and functional upgrades. For example, they have launched camping equipment with patented folding structures, outdoor jackets with added functions like mosquito prevention and heating, as well as lightweight outdoor clothing made of waterproof and bacteriostatic fabrics, all of which have achieved impressive sales. The local government has collaborated with universities to establish industry-university-research alliances, supporting enterprises in research, development, and innovation.
As China's domestic market raises higher requirements for quality and innovation, Zhejiang's outdoor enterprises have shifted from OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) to independent research and development. They focus on meeting the needs of domestic users, gaining advantages in multiple niche segments, and achieving industrial upgrading driven by innovation.
